Kate Russell is a journalist, reporter and author, and has been writing about technology and the Internet since 1995.


Kate currently appears regularly on BBC technology programme ‘Click’ and writes a monthly column for National Geographic Traveller magazine. She also speaks at conferences and digital strategy and policy meetings, as well as lecturing in schools and universities to inspire the next generation of technologists. Her website has won awards from the UK Blog Awards (2015) and Market Inspector (2017) for best technology blog, and in June 2016 she was voted the Computer Weekly 13th most influential woman in UK IT. She also writes sci-fi and fantasy with two published novels now available.
